Atlantic Highlands resident Mark Fisher several months ago prepared an extensive and comprehensive questionnaire for all six candidates seeking the two seats on Borough Council in the Nov. 2 election. All six candidates responded to the questions, and most also responded to the final page listing the priorities in the importance in which they placed them.
The following is a list of the priorities as well as a PDF file giving each of the responses to each of the questions. Voters are encouraged to read the candidates' views before casting their ballots for election to the two three year terms.
Fisher, who is a member of the borough's Parking Committee, also prepared an extensive review of the parking situation in the borough, as well as ways the Mayor and Council could alleviate the parking situation for local residents through a new ordinance as recommended by the Parking Committee. That ordinance has not yet been put on the agenda for this week's meeting, and council has not indicated when it will be introduced.
As a result of this presentation, I am happy to report that there has been an uptick in requests made for receiving my Council Summaries and other important AH news items. I welcome the opportunity to continue keeping all of the recipients current on what is happening in our 1.26 sq. mile Borough. If you feel others you know may also be interested, they can request to be added to the distribution list at email@example.com.
PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO VOTE... it's important!
