The Highlands Business Partnership has cancelled the 9th Annual Brew by the Bay, scheduled for Saturday, at the Seafarer, due to the impending severe weather and potential for coastal flooding.
The Highlands Business Partnership has been closely monitoring the forecast throughout the week. With strong winds, heavy rain, and coastal flooding possible as the approaching storm impacts the area, the decision was made to cancel the outdoor event in the interest of the safety of attendees, participating breweries, staff, volunteers, and vendors.
“We are very disappointed to have to cancel Brew by the Bay, especially after already rescheduling the event once this year,” said Carla Cefalo, Executive Director of the Highlands Business Partnership. “Unfortunately, with the potential for severe weather and coastal flooding, we feel canceling is the safest and most responsible decision. We greatly appreciate everyone who supported the event and thank our participating breweries, the Seafarer, volunteers, and ticket holders for their understanding.”
