Knights Remember 9/11

Date:

The Bishop McFaul Assembly of the Knights of Columbus remembered the attack on the nation September. 11, 2001 with a Memorial Breakfast and memorial service at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church hall Sunday.

The Breakfast is sponsored by the Reverend Joseph Donnelly Council of the Knights of Columbus, with many of its members also members of the Bishop McFaul Assembly,

Sir Knight John Hayes, faithful navigator for the Assembly, led a moment of silence and began the program tougher with Sir Knight John Hendrick, District Deputy of New Jersey District 24,  who offered the opening prayer, and Sir Knight Steven Schwankert, Deputy Grand Knight of the Father Donnelly Council, who led the pledge of allegiance.

Hayes called the observation to attention, and read the necrology of fallen Knights, assisted by Sir Knight John Napolitano, Grand Knight of the Father Donnelly Council.

Sir Knight Hendrick, read the closing prayer, the prayer to Saint Michael the Archangel, seeking assistance in defending all in battle.

Napolitano, who was recently elected Grand Knight of the Reverend Joseph Council of the Knights, said the breakfast In Honor and Remembrance is an opportunity for all to honor all those who lost their lives on 9-11 as well as in years after from injuries and disease incurred that day .

And while Mayor Lori Hohenleitner made it clear that so long as she is mayor, and just about everyone has her telephone number, she wants everyone to know everything the governing body does and what’s going on, Borough Administrator Caleb Stratton made it clear that even though he directed the borough attorney to write a letter to a private citizen without the borough council’s approval, even though he had set up a meeting with a private citizen the mayor also said she would attend, and even though they were speaking about public property adjacent to one of several residents enjoy next to the public steps, he was not going to discuss anything about the negotiations with the one neighbor out of respect for her. “I have nothing else to say,” The administrator explained to the public at the council meeting.
