Glazed Maple Acorn Squash.
1 acorn squash
¼ Cup water
2 Tablespoons maple syrup
1 Tables. Melted butter or margarine
¼ tsp cinnamon.
Preheat over to 375. Cut both ends off the squash, then cut the squash cross ways making four or 5 equal round slices. Toss out the seeds and any membrane left.
Put the water in a 9X13 inch baking dish and arrange the squad on top, covering with foil. Bake 30 minutes or until slices are soft and tender.
Combine maple syrup, melted butter and spice and mix well. Drain the water from the squash and brush the squash with the syrup mixture, letting it pool in the center of the squash rings.
Bake 10 minutes or until bubbly and enjoy.
For four servings, caloric content is 50 calories for each serving. About 8mg of cholesterol and 1 gram of protein.
